The Independent Practice book provides students with a variety of thought-provoking prompts and accompanying graphic organizers, all grouped and color-coded by text structures.

Students are also provided visual reminders throughout of the appropriate signal words (transition words) that they can use within each structure. This design encourages organized thinking and clear communication.
